The ENTER Ph.D. Workshop is a platform for doctoral students and supervisors undertaking research in the area of Information and Communication Technology in Travel and Tourism.
The workshop provides a forum for doctoral students to discuss their thesis with peers, colleagues and leading supervisors and scholars in the field. Doctoral students at all stages (beginning as well as nearly completed) are encouraged to participate. The workshop will focus on practical and methodological issues as well as research proposals and interim results of the participating doctoral candidates. The proposals will be incorporated into a CD and distributed to attendees.
The 2008 edition will be chaired by Dr. Jamie Murphy, Professor at the University of Western Australia under the assistance of Dr. Cihan Cobanoglu, Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware, USA and Dr. Matthias Fuchs, Director of e-Tourism Competence Centres Austria and associate professor at the Centre of Tourism and Service Economics at University of Innsbruck.
This year, the Ph.D. Workshop will be hosted by the Faculty E-tourism Competence Center Austria (ECCA), and it is a forerunner to the Research Track at ENTER 2008. It will take place on Tuesday January 22nd, 2008, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM at the Centre of Tourism and Service Economics at University of Innsbruck.
