Rein Ahas

Dr. Rein Ahas (1966) is Professor of Human Geography of University of Tartu, Estonia. PhD in natural geography (seasonality and phenology) in 1999. Main scientific interests include the climate change impacts, seasonality, natural resource use policy, urban geography and data management. Since 2001 has been active with developing mobile positioning and tracking methodology, especially information systems for monitoring tourism and space-time behavior. Dr. Ahas currently lectures and supervises students in human geography, EIA, environmental management and planning.
