Vladimir Garkavenko

Dr. Garkavenko’s academic background covers several fields. He holds a doctoral degree at the Auckland University of Technology and a Master of Business Studies (in Management) from the Department of Management and International Business at Massey University in New Zealand. He also holds a Master Degree in French Language and Literature from the Kiev State University in Ukraine.
Dr. Garkavenko started his research career at the Tourism Research Institute, Auckland. He has been involved in different projects on tourism issues including international projects. For the last 3 years Dr. Garkavenko has been employed as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Waiariki Institute of Technology designing, preparing and delivering courses in different fields of tourism and business. His research and teaching revolves around but is not restricted to information and communication technology’s impact on the distribution channel, supplier-retailer-consumer relationship, tourism sectors, entrepreneurship, and futures forecasting.
