Dr Astrid Dickinger
Before joining the Department for New Media Technology of Modul University Vienna Astrid Dickinger was Assistant Professor at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. There she completed her dissertation on (un)observed heterogeneity in mobile service usage. The dissertation proposal was awarded a prize by the Alois-Mock-Europe Foundation and the completed dissertation gained the Rudolf-Sallinger Award. Before starting her position at WU-Wien she was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Western Australia, Perth. Her research interests are in the areas of service quality in electronic channels, electronic and mobile service usage, IT and Tourism, and Web 2.0. Results of her research have been published in journals and conference Proceedings. Dr Dickinger has been teaching postgraduate marketing and e/m-tourism courses at the University of the Balearic Islands, Danube University Krems, Technical University of Vienna, University of Applied Sciences Salzburg, and the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde.
