Journal of Information Technology and Tourism
As an IFITT member you'll receive a complimentary copy of the Journal
of Information Technology and Tourism (normally priced US $85 per copy). Information
Technology and Tourism (ITT) is a scientific journal dealing with the exciting
relationship between Information Technology and Tourism. It is a refereed journal
and features empirical case studies as well as technical theoretical papers,
where all contributions will have an explicit focus. Find

ENTER Conference Discount
ENTER is IFITT’s Global Forum for Travel & Tourism Technology
and eBusiness and is a ‘must’ for all IT and travel & tourism
professionals. It is the leading global event on IT in travel & tourism
that is knowledge driven and focused on the future. The conference is held annually,
under the auspices of IFITT, in popular destinations such as Innsbruck, Edinburgh,
Istanbul, Barcelona, Montréal and Helsinki. The WTO, WTTC and the European
Commission have supported the conference. IFITT members can also enjoy a discounted
ENTER conference entrance fee.
Members Only
IFITT comes to you online. Anyone can access www.ifitt.org but only
members can apply their passwords to retrieve information restricted to them.
The membership list and listserver are important features together with the
knowledge base and bibliography that is being developed.
Special Interest Groups and Workshops
These focus groups and workshops offer opportunities to network and
share experiences with like-minded professionals for particular specialised
areas. The present joint WTO/IFITT project for example will establish an evaluation
and benchmarking scheme for tourist websites. These research groups allow IFITT
members to influence future changes in the marketplace.

IFITT Reference Model Special Interest Group (IFITT RMSIG)
This group was established to look at the harmonisation of electronic tourism markets in an open and flexible manner, based on a reference model. The aim of RMSIG is to bring together different market participants and domain experts to ensure a broad acceptance of the reference model. Click here for more detailed information about RMSIG.
- HARMONISE
This group, in coordination with other European initiatives such as EnjoyEurope and Fetish, and with the involvement of international tourism organisations (ETC, IFITT, NTOs, etc), are working together on a European Commission project to establish bridges between existing and emerging on-line marketplaces. This project will enable these marketplaces to cooperate with each other, and will create the necessary conditions for a new European marketplace.
Regional Chapters
Regional Chapters have been established to develop their own activities
in order to raise awareness of IT and Travel & Tourism within their region.
