Started in 2006, the Swiss Chapter annually organizes the Swiss E-Tourism Forum. The Forum already took place in 4 different cities in Switzerland (Lausanne, Bern, Lucerne and Zurich). Speakers from companies and form the academic field are presenting current experiences from using new technologies or new insights from research projects. The event could establish a loyal group of participants and is a leading networking platform for interested parties in e-tourism.The topics of the realized events have been:
- eTourism in Switzerland: challenges and opportunities
- Onlinemarketing in tourism: impulses from practice and research
- Internet as distribution channel in tourism
- Web 2.0 - the participative internet: chances and risks for the tourism sector
